Mary Ann Steiner

Mary Ann Steiner was born in Virginia, Nebraska on September 18, 1940 to Joseph and Agnes Mencl. She graduated from Virginia High School in 1957. On June 6, 1959 Mary married Loren Allen Steiner of Lewiston. They lived together finally residing in Aurora, Colorado.  Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband Loren, her parents Joseph and Angus Mencl, her sister Rosemary Dvorak, and brother George. 

Mary was a devoted wife and mother and worked many years in the mortgage industry before retiring; she and Loren were married 49 years upon his death in 2009. Her happiest times were spent with family and in recreation at Windsor Shores also known as 'the lake'.

Mary is survived by her 4 children, Michael A. Steiner of Aurora, Co., John W. Steiner and Korina of Bennett, CO, Wayne A. Steiner and Jessica of Parker, CO, and Suzanne M. Steiner and Randy of Gig Harbor, WA.  Ten grand-children: Roxanne, Rachel, Sean, Jenna, Michael, Kassie, William, Diego, Joseph and Brenda; along with three great grandchildren, and loving brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and countless friends.

Funeral services 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Salem U.C.C., rural Steinauer, Nebraska.  Reverend Eric Biehl is officiating.

Visitation on Friday, June 17, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Wherry Mortuary, 919 G Street, Pawnee City, Nebraska. Interment at Salem U.C.C. Cemetery, Steinauer, Nebraska.  Memorials to family choice.  Online condolences may be left at www.wherrymortuary.com.
