Helen D. (Marsh) Henrichs

    Helen D. Henrichs was born to Herman and Ethel (Cunningham) Marsh on December 24, 1942 in Columbia, South Carolina.  She grew up in South Carolina and graduated from high school in Columbia.   

   Helen was married to Joe Hauptman on Aug. 19, 1960 and to this union three daughters were born, Diane, Mary and Becky.  Over the years Helen and Joe enjoyed going dancing, listening to music and riding horses.  Helen later married Daryl Henrichs on Dec. 8, 1984 in Oahu, Hawaii.  Helen and Daryl traveled and took many trips to see family.  Daryl passed away April 27, 2007.

   Helen worked for many years for the Campbell Soup Company in Tecumseh, Nebraska.  She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and awesome grandmother and great-grandmother.  She loved fishing, gardening, reading, working jigsaw puzzles, playing cards and Farkle with friends and family, holidays, collecting dolls and beanie babies and especially spending time with her family.   Helen had a deep faith and belief in Christ. 

    She passed away June 19, 2017 at Belle Terrace in Tecumseh, Nebraska at the age of 74 years.

  Helen is survived by her daughters, Diane Clifton and husband Scott of Tecumseh, Mary Dezort and husband Vince of Crab Orchard and Becky Pella and fiancée Roger Bohling of Tecumseh, step-daughters Teddie and Shari, 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, sister, Faith Howard and husband Steve of South Carolina, nieces and nephews. 

   She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Joe Hauptman and Daryl Henrichs, great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Lexi Pella, brother, Charlie and sisters, Eddie Mae and Linda.

    Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 23, 2017 at the Wherry Mortuary in Tecumseh, Nebraska with Chaplain Sharon Schuster officiating. 

  Visitation will be at the Wherry Mortuary in Tecumseh, Nebraska, Thursday, June 22, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m.

  Memorials may go to the family’s choice.             

  Helen and her husband Daryl will be interred at 1:00 p.m. in the Sheridan West Cemetery, Auburn, Nebraska, with Rev. Hugh Giesbrecht officiating.
