Rudolph James Habrich, 86, of Falls City formerly of rural Du Bois, Nebraska was born on September 27, 1929, in Pawnee City, Nebraska to Adolph R. and Bessie (Daniel) Habrich. He was raised on the family farm near Du Bois, Nebraska where he attended country school at Union District # 31 through the 8th grade. After graduating from country school, Rudolph began farming with his father.
On November 26, 1950, Rudolph enlisted in the Army National Guard of Nebraska and served his country until being honorably discharged in Falls City, Nebraska on July 20, 1957. Rudolph was a life-long farmer in the Du Bois and Pawnee City area. Later in life, he moved to Falls City, Nebraska when his health began to decline.
Rudolph passed away on Monday, January 25, 2016, at the St. Elizabeth’s Regional Medical Center in Lincoln, Nebraska having reached the earthly age of eighty-six years, three months, and twenty-nine days. He was preceded in death by his parents Adolph and Bessie Habrich.
Rudolph is survived by his long-time friend Kathleen Roussan and her husband William of Falls City, Nebraska and other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 2, 2016, at The Wherry Mortuary in Humboldt, Nebraska with Pastor Howard Blecha officiating.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. on Monday, February 1, 2016, at The Wherry Mortuary in Humboldt, Nebraska.
Interment will be at the Du Bois Cemetery in Du Bois, Nebraska.
Memorial contributions may be given to the family’s choice with a later designation.
