I have special memories of the time spent when we were young in Cook. Roger guided us on some of our first quail hunts around Cook - different country from Southwest Nebraska. . We always enjoyed visiting with Roger and Pat and appreciated their interest in our family.

The good Lord was ready for a good Man. Heaven is better today. Roger was the true definition of a Gentleman. I will miss him and will never forget this kind proud Man.

Mrs. Poppe, Gregg, Eric and families - Steven and I are so sorry to hear about the loss of Roger. I'm sure his presence will be missed greatly. The Good News is that one day you will all be reunited in our Father's kingdom. Until that time, may it be of comfort to know that he is watching over the Lord's flock and more importantly over you. Pat, Gregg, Eric and family:
May you be comforted in your grief knowing that Roger made a positive difference in the world with his gentle manner and obvious kindness. He was a dedicated steward of God's creation who deeply loved his family, friends and community. In the words from Galatians 5:22, the Spirit produces fruit of "love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control." I see all of these in Roger's life. May he now rest in eternal light and love that your mourning be turned to joy.
