I WILL NEVER , EVER FORGET THIS MAN & ALL THAT HE DID NOT ME OVER THE YRS.. Very hard core banker but he had his heart into his work. I was 16 when I got my 1st car loan from him & I am 54 today. Not sure when I last seen him but was at the bank a few weeks ago & met his daughter.

So sorry to hear about Bob. Wish we had known earlier so we could have made plans to attend. Bob has a special place in my heart -- he was my driver to work when I first came to Omaha -- that is many, many years ago. He was a very special person. Our condolences to you Erma and your family.

Sympathies to Erma and all the kids and extended family. Think I last saw Bob 5/18 when visited the Heritage House with Erma as he had just been discharged from the Pawnee Hospital due to pneumonia.-After coming home from Vietnam, I bought my 1969 Mustang and insured it with Bob in Jan. 1969. Was with him as we ran across main street in early 1950s from the Bandstand to the Tavern bench when Will Klein's truck went by and somehow Bob got his leg caught in the wheel well and broke it. Maybe in the Summer of 1955 remember talked with him while he sitting on the fuel barrel of the Bank. As a senior "Senior" I had ask him about the high school teachers and how to how to survive SHS. Listened to his advise as if from Moses!!!

Heartfelt sympathies to the family. I wanted to share a funny childhood memory of Bob. In the summer when I would go over to play with Suzanne, Bob would be piddling in the garage or yard and he would have her go in and get him a Falstaff beer. He'd have her put the can on the back steps and he let us take sips if we wanted. No wonder to this day I do not like the taste of beer. Falstaff grows hairs on your chest. (laugh)

My mother was a Steinauer native, so I would spend my summers at my grandparents place. This really was my second home and I knew everybody there including Bob. I always looked up to him. He was a good role model for the young. Sorry to hear of his passing, he will be greatly missed. Thoughts and prayers to his family
