So many great memories of Mike from college that make me laugh and put a smile on my face to this day; from the crazy times working together at the Maryville Country Club and even crazier daily shenanigans, card games, etc., at the Phi Sig house. Mike was a great leader within our organization and immediate friend to those on campus who were lucky enough to make his acquaintance. Gone to soon but never to be forgotten. RIP Brother.

Larry, Jan and Michelle, after reading all the notes of sympathy it's clear to see that Michael will live on in others hearts. Loosing a child is part of life that we as parents should not have to through. But knowing that he is remembered is a special tribute to a great man. I am so sorry for your loss and the sadness you must be feeling! Hersh was a great friend to me and I have so many amazing, sweet, funny memories with him. He convinced me for about a year that he knew how to do THE Irish jig-he even demonstrated it many times (at my requst)... then one day he broke it to me that he was tricking me. It makes me smile now just thinking about it. Because of his perfect demonstration, myself and my oldest daughter know how to do the jig "Hersh style". I was lucky to have had him as a friend! Such a great man!

In life, we take account of people…how they treat people, how their positive energy brightens a room, how they’re with us when we need a friend. I’m heartbroken by this news because Mike will always stand out as one of the really good people I’ve had the privilege of knowing. There are so many memories that bring a smile to my face, from the time I met him as a teammate on the “A’s” to several visits to NWMS to see the school and spend time with a friend. Please find solace in all of the lives that were better for having known Mike. Mine was certainly one of them.

I remember trying out for baseball in grade school and after the first practice I knew baseball was not my sport. Mike walked up to me after practice and told me "don't feel bad you tried, it takes guts." After that Mike and I became great friends, he was a true friend and was always there when you needed him. I will miss him dearly and send my deepest sympathies to his family and everyone that was blessed to have known him.
