Mr. Ottemann was my shop teacher. . . .yes, a group of 3 girls convinced the Marquette High School administration to let us take shop. It was the first venture of such a kind- we thoroughly enjoyed it but know it was a challenge for Mr. Ottemann. Us girls had limited skills and we were in the freshmen boys class so many pranks were played between the boys and girls. Mr. Ottemann took it all in stride and we were all able to complete a project by year-end. I'm sure he will be missed by many! He and his wife, Annette, are great people.

Praying for the family of Ken. He was a good teacher and had a lot of patience with some pretty crazy drivers. I know that my brother, John, used Ken as his role model when he taught industrial arts. He will be greatly missed. The good news is those who loved him will be reunited with him one day in our Father's kingdom. Thanks Mr. O. for the memories.

Ken was my/our High School sponsor for our 1970 Marquette High School graduating class. Also, Ken and Annette were our class sponsors for our Senior Excursion day to Omaha in September of 1969, and our Sneak Trip to Colorado in May of 1970. As my class sponsor, drivers-education instructor, and shop teacher, Ken was always fun. He was only 22 when he came to Marquette in 1968.

Many good memories....

Mr. Ottemann was my shop and driver's ed. teacher at Marquette. I held high respect for him, even though we may not been the most productive students for him. He made the drivers ed. class very special. I expect he lived life very well and we are sorry for your loss.
