Cheri Ann (Bergamasco) Speckmann

Cheri Ann (Bergamasco) Speckmann was born July 8, 1970 to Frank and Rebecca (Robar) Bergamasco in Wareham, Massachusetts.  She attended Calvary Christian School and graduated from Cheyenne East High School.  Cheri spent her early days in the summer months up to her neck in salt water digging for clams with her mom and sister.  She always had wonderful artistic ability.  Cheri saved her money and with some help bought a roll top desk where she drew and wrote secret notes, all of which she would crumble up and throw in the trash.  Who knew what great artistic masterpieces were lost to humanity?  

After graduating from high school, Cheri met John Speckmann and moved to Nebraska.  John and Cheri were united in marriage at the First Baptist Church in Tecumseh, Nebraska.  To this union three children were born, William John, Bree Ann and James Dylan.  Cheri loved drinking coffee, doing laundry, drawing, crafting, saving money using coupons, taking pictures and caring for her children. She was a mom and homemaker, as a care giver for the elderly and most recently as a cashier for Dollar Tree.  Cheri lived out her amazing life as a mother, daughter and friend. 

  Cheri passed away unexpectedly on January 10, 2017 at the age of 46 years, 5 months and 22 days.

  She is survived by her children, William, Bree and James, mother, Rebecca and husband Edmund Savastano, father, Frank Bergamasco, sister, Sandra Bergamasco, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

   Cheri is preceded in death by her grandparents, Ann and James Bergamasco and Margaret and Albert Robar and uncles,  Albert James Robar, Jr. and William Sherman.

 Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 21, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Tecumseh, Nebraska with Rev. Hugh Giesbrecht officiating. 

 Visitation will be held at the Wherry Mortuary in Tecumseh, Nebraska, Friday, January  20, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with family greeting friends from 5-7 p.m.

  Memorials in lieu of flowers, may go to the family’s choice.

  Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. in the Lewiston Cemetery, Lewiston, Nebraska.
