Wilma (Atkinson) Binder, 98, of Lincoln, was born July 3, 1927, in Pawnee City, NE, to Max and Amy (Neiswanger) Atkinson. She passed away Friday, October 24, 2025 with her family by her side. She graduated from Pawnee City High School and attended the University of Nebraska, graduating as a Phi Beta Kappa member. After marrying Leland Binder, they lived on the farm near Table Rock. She trusted Jesus Christ as her Savior and was an active member of Faith Baptist Church in Pawnee City. A few years after the death of her husband, she moved to Lincoln.
She was preceded in death by her husband Leland, parents; son, Timothy; infant daughter, Louise; brothers Dan (Elsie), Gaylord (Erma), sister, Vivian Lackey; infant brother, David; brothers-in-law Charles (Beth), Glenn (Bernice, Laura), Joseph (Flo) and Willard (Minnie) Binder.
She is survived by children: Marjorie Mendicki of Oklahoma City, OK; Barbara (Paul) Schaefer of Lincoln, NE; Philip (Gwen) Binder of Fort Smith, AR; Joy (Dale) Hall of Brandon, FL; Mary (Rafael) Restrepo of Torrevieja, Spain; Sharon (John) Balentine of Pensacola, FL and Mark (Karen) Binder of Muren, Mongolia; 22 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 2, 2025 at Faith Baptist, Pawnee City, Nebraska with Pastor Chris Rohrbaugh officiatiating.
