William Riley McClintock

William “Riley” McClintock, 80, of Humboldt, Nebraska passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at Colonial Acres in Humboldt, Nebraska.  He was born on April 5, 1942 to Robert and Dorothy (Beason) McClintock in Los Angeles, California.

William lived in California until the age of 5 until moving to Waverly, Nebraska in 1945 with his mother and siblings.  He attended school in Waverly and after finishing the 11th grade, William joined the Air Force and served 3 1/2 years, mostly in Germany. While in the service William received his GED.

William started working for the Burlington Northern Sante Fe Railroad while living in Lincoln, Nebraska. He later moved to Denver, Colorado, and continued working for the railroad until his retirement in 1993. His health started failing after a stroke in 2007. In 2009, William moved to Colonial Acres Nursing Home in Humboldt, Nebraska to be closer to family, where he resided until his passing.  He was a big Colorado Buffalo fan, especially regarding football.

William was preceded in death by his mother Dorothy Miller, father Robert McClintock, sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Barry Nolan,  great nephew, Dylan Lang, grandparents and aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his sister Jan (Ben) Lang of DuBois, NE, nephews, Michael Lang, DuBois, NE and Jeffrey (Holly) Lang and family of Pawnee City, NE.

Williams wishes were to be cremated. There will be a  private family burial at the DuBois Cemetery, DuBois, Nebraska.
