Stan A. Stalder

Stan A. Stalder passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at the age of 83.  Stan was born in Humboldt, Nebraska on September 20,1941, to Floyd and Ruth (Fryburger) Stalder.  He graduated from Humboldt High School with the class of 1958.

Stan worked at Pepsi Cola and Taylor Chevrolet before retiring from OPPD with over 25 years of service.  Stan was a past member of the Humboldt Volunteer Fire Department & Ambulance Squad, Lions Club, Elks Club, the Humboldt United Methodist Church, and he served for 8 years on the Humboldt City Council.

From a previous marriage, Stan has 2 daughters:  Shari (Chuck) Jaros of Humboldt and Julie (Don) Shepard of Elkhorn, Nebraska.

Stan is survived by his wife, Joan; daughters Shari (Chuck) Jaros and Julie (Don) Shepard; son Ken (Mary Helen) Krofta of Johnston, IA; granddaughter Madison (Justin Jones) Shepard; grandsons Nathan (Becky) Krofta and Eric (Rachel) Krofta, Eric (Katie) Shepard; great-grandchildren JD and Vaughn Jones; Kani, Kye, Ash, Caitlin, Bella and Kellen Krofta; brother Gary Stalder; nieces Christy (Matt) Sankey and Barb (Biff) Mauslein.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

No visitation is planned and there will be a private graveside service with Pastor Lori Stevens officiating.

In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials to the Humboldt Methodist Church or the Humboldt Volunteer Fire Department.
