Sharon Ann (Gottula) Laue

Sharon Ann Laue, 82, of Lincoln, formerly of Tecumseh, passed away February 23, 2021 at the home of her daughters in Lincoln, Nebraska.  She was born to Norman and Eloise (Plager) Gottula on February 27, 1938 in Tecumseh, Nebraska.  She was baptized and later confirmed at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Elk Creek.  Sharon grew up near Elk Creek on the family farm with her younger brother Lee Allen.  She went to elementary at a one room school house close to her home and then graduated from Elk Creek High School in 1957.   Sharon participated in volleyball, showed cattle in 4-H and loved riding her many horses and milking cows. 

She married Kenneth Eugene Laue on February 13, 1961 and they had two daughters, Ruth Ann and Sue Lyn.  Sharon was a farm wife and also waitressed at many restaurants in Tecumseh as well as working for the Campbell's Soup Company and Smart Chicken in Tecumseh for many years. Sharon enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  She attended many of the Gottula family reunions in Las Vegas, having a great time with her cousins. Sharon's greatest passion was helping raise her three granddaughters.  She loved watching them ride their horses and was their greatest fan. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Eloise, husband Kenneth (12-24-1977), granddaughter, Lisa Ann Bradbury and brother Lee Allen Gottula.

Sharon is survived by her daughters, Ruth Ann Laue and Sue Lyn Bradbury, granddaughters, Ashley Lyn Bradbury and Clara Eloise Bradbury, sister-in-law, Lila Gottula of Auburn and other relatives and friends.  

 Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 1, 2021 at the Wherry Mortuary in Tecumseh, Nebraska with Rev. Marcel Kohlmeyer officiating. The service will be livestreamed on the Wherry Mortuary/Wherry Monument Facebook page for those unable to attend in person.

 Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with greeting friends from 1-3 p.m., Sunday, February 28, 2021 at the Wherry Mortuary in Tecumseh, Nebraska.

 Memorials may go to the family’s choice.

 Interment will be in the Tecumseh Cemetery, Tecumseh, Nebraska.
