Rosemary (Simpson) Steuer

Rosemary Steuer, 74, of Summerfield, KS, passed away July 29, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born to Edward and Rose (Ellsen) Simpson on March 2, 1947 in Ipswich, England where she grew up and graduated high school.  Rosemary met her future husband, Ronald Steuer while he was stationed in the United States Air Force in England and they were united in marriage on April 29, 1967. A year after their marriage, Ron and Rosemary moved to the States.  To this union one son, Alan was born at the RAF Hospital in England.

Rosemary enjoyed gardening and loved playing Bunko with her girlfriends.  She belonged to the State Line Club, Seniors Club, Red Hats Club and the American Legion.  

She is survived by her husband Ronald Steuer of Summerfield, KS, son Alan Steuer and wife Nicole and three grandchildren, Josh, Owen and Jamie all of Hopkinton,MA,  brother, Nigel Simpson and wife Annette of France, sister-in-law, Christine Simpson of Ipswich, England, nieces, Kate and Kelly of Ispwich, England, cousin, Myrna and Glen Miller of Summerfield, Kansas and brother-in-law, Ralph Batton and wife Kathryn of Highland, IN.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents and brother Edward Simpson.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 7, 2021 at the Wherry Mortuary, Pawnee City, Nebraska with Pastor Marilyn Sweet officiating. Family requests that attendees please wear masks.  

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, August 6, 2021 at the Wherry Mortuary, Pawnee City, Nebraska.

Memorials may go to the Meadow Lark Hospice 709 Liberty Clay Center, KS 67432.

Private family inurnment will be at a later date.
