Ronald Rollie Lee, 70, of Pawnee City, Nebraska passed away Friday, December 20, 2024 at his home. He was born in Columbus, Nebraska on June 5, 1954. He was the son of Goodson Lee and Betty Bennett. Ron was an Eagle Scout early in his life, he then volunteered as a firefighter for the Bellevue Fire Department after high school.
On April 9 1977, Ronald married his true love Karla Elliott at the Methodist Church in Bellevue, Nebraska. They moved to Rio Rancho, New Mexico in 1992, where Ron worked for the city as an irrigation technician. Ron and Karla have two daughters, Kara Lee of Pawnee City, and Rachel Lee of Omaha. His wife Karla passed away on April 12, 2009 in their home in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Ron never remarried. He moved with his daughters to Pawnee City in 2010.
Ron loved creating things out of leather, hot air ballooning, fishing, watching tv, and most of all, his family. He also enjoyed camping, and adventuring. When he wasn’t watching tv he would come up with ideas about how to cook meals, inventions he saw or wanted to make, how to start a business, and joking and laughing with the people around him.
He is preceded in death by his father, mother, eldest brother, Barry, and his wife, Karla.
Ron is survived by his daughters, Kara and Rachel, brothers, Jim Lee and wife Sharon and Norm Lee and wife Sandy and countless nieces and nephews.
Services 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Wherry Mortuary Chapel, 919 G Street, Pawnee City, Nebraska. Memorials to family choice for a later designation.
