Raymond Stanley Willis

<p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Raymond S. Willis, 83, of Pawnee City, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2022 at his home in Pawnee City, Nebraska. He&nbsp;was born May 7, 1938, to J. Stanley and Blanche (Brotherton) Willis in Denver, Colorado. He served in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1959. In 1967, he graduated from the University of Denver with a degree in mathematics and history. Ray met his wife, Dorothy Bock, at the university. They were married June 21, 1968, at her great aunt&rsquo;s home in Denver.</strong></p> <p><strong>Ray pursued a career in computer programming and systems analysis in Colorado, New Mexico, and Nebraska. After retirement, he enjoyed travel and serving as a volunteer handyman for Omaha Public Library.&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>After having a second home in rural Pawnee County and Pawnee City for many years, the couple moved to Pawnee City in 2010. Ray then volunteered at the Pawnee City Historical Museum and the Pawnee City Public Library. He enjoyed the community puzzle at the library, as well as both the print and audio book collections.</strong></p> <p><strong>Ray was preceded in death by his parents, brothers-in-law James Vinyard, Alan Richard and sister-in-law Linda Bock.
