Patricia Lee (Draper) Jellum

Patricia Lee Jellum, 85, formerly of Humboldt, Nebraska, was born on February 5, 1939, in Lincoln, Nebraska, to H. Wayne and Leota Marillia (Skiles) Draper. She was raised in Lincoln, Nebraska, attending Lincoln Northeast High School and then completing the GED program at Southeast Community College.  She continued at Southeast Community College for two years, studying nursing.  Patti worked in many fields including restaurant hospitality and detox counseling.  Her most treasured position was being a childcare provider for the countless grandchildren in her life.  Patti was an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous with one of the longest tenures of sobriety of fifty-five years.  She was honored to help others in need and guide them to a life of sobriety.

Patricia went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Lafayette, Colorado having reached the earthly age of eighty-five years, nine months, and fifteen days.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Russell and Daniel, daughters: Danielle, Dee, Luci, and sister Suzanne Kahler.

Patricia is survived by her daughter Denise DeBose of Lincoln, sons: Patrick Jellum of Northglenn, CO; Mark Helling and wife Lynette of Hickman, NE; Matthew Jellum of Lincoln, 15 grandchildren: 25 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; brother Michael Draper of Lincoln, NE; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at the Christian Church in Humboldt, Nebraska with Pastor Howard Blecha officiating.

Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Patti’s memory.
