Mary K. (Evans) Thomas

Mary Kathleen  (Evans) Thomas was born February 26, 1962 in Tecumseh, Nebraska to Harold Reed "Bud" and Mary Eileen (Fowler) Evans.  Mary grew up in Tecumseh and graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1980.

She was married to Tim Thomas in Tecumseh, Nebraska.  Tim and Mary made their home in Cook, Nebraska.  Tim passed away January of 2009.  Mary later married Rick Hazen at Cook, Nebraska.  The couple later divorced. Mary was a retired rural mail carrier for the Johnson area.  

Mary passed away unexpectedly May 12, 2021 at the age of 59 years.

She is survived by her sister Lora Sullivan  and husband Patrick, nieces and nephews, Jayme Sullivan, Michael Sullivan, Carrie (Steven) Douglas, great nieces and great nephews, Derek, Courtney and Thomas Sullivan, Zyanah Veach and Dalton Douglas, uncle Robert "Bob" Evans and aunt Barbara (Harvey) Lunzmann.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Tim Thomas, parents Harold "Bud" and Mary Evans, sisters, Linda George and Julie Thomson and step-son Derek Thomas.  

Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 21, 2021 at the Wherry Mortuary in Tecumseh, Nebraska with Rev. Rob Clark officiating. 

A register book will available at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Thursday, May 20, 2021.

Memorials may go to the family's choice. 

Inurnment will be in the Tecumseh Cemetery, Tecumseh, Nebraska.
