Mark Cameron Obituary

Mark David Cameron, 61, of Summerfield, passed away at his home surrounded by family on Thursday, March 26, 2020.  He was born to James David and Jacqueline (Tiller) Cameron on March 24, 1959 in Pawnee City, NE. He graduated from Summerfield High School in 1977 and went on to attend Manhattan Technichal College for auto body repair and during that time worked at a performance shop. Over the years he worked for Thies Ag, trucked and was a mechanic for Brad Sejkora, Greg Gee, Tim Krogman, and Dallas Bowhay.

After a life-changing accident, he came back to work on the family farm. He was a talented musician and enjoyed playing for the Midnight Spirits in his younger years. Mark's greatest joy in life was spending time with and spoiling his grandchildren, he would never pass up an opportunity to talk about them. You could usually find him in his spare time watching NASCAR and NHRA races and enjoying a Coors Original. He and his wife Laura (Meybrunn) have been together since 2000, it was obvious that Mark accepted Laura's family as his own every day since. Mark and his great sense of humor will be deeply missed by his loving family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, James David, grandparents: Glenn and Selma Cameron, Roderick and Luella Tiller, brother-in-law, Hector "Rocko" Arocho.

He is survived by his wife Laura Cameron of Summerfield, children: Sydney (Joel) Rexroth of Humboldt, NE, Michael Schell of Summerfield, KS, Sara (Derek) Gyhra of Pawnee City, NE, Daniel (Haley) Schell of Marysville, KS, grandchildren: Stella, Eleanor, Charlotte, Chloe, Madelyn, Bennett, mother Jacqueline Cameron, siblings: Bradley (Christy) Cameron of Sante Fe, NM, Steve (Rene) Cameron of Summerfield, KS, Wanda (David) Brezindine of Louisburg, KS and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
