Lynn B (Saxton) Johnson

Lynn B. (Saxton) Johnson, 95 of Pawnee City, Nebraska passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at the Pawnee County Memorial Hospital.  She was born on March 10, 1924.  She was born on March 10, 1924 to Alba and Bertha (Trumble) Saxton in Belvedere, Nebraska.  She graduated from Belvedere High School in 1942. She moved to Pawnee City after graduation and taught rural school for 3 years.  

On November 17, 1945 she married Ervin Johnson in Seneca, Kansas, to this union was born 3 sons, Ronald Lyle, Donald Eugene and Jeffrey Lynn.

Lynn started working in 1967 at the Pawnee County Bank while it was under construction and continued as a custodian for over 30 years until retirement in 1997.  

She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge #4 for 60 years, joining in 1946. She was a continuous member of the Ladies V.F.W. Auxiliary since 1973.

They celebrated their 64 year wedding anniversary on November 17, 2009. She lived all her married life in Pawnee City and enjoyed all her grandchildren and great grandchildren to the fullest.

She was preceded in death by her parents Alba and Bertha Saxton, husband Ervin on May 28, 2010 and sister June Foster.

She leaves to mourn, sons, Ronald Johnson and wife Marie of Warrensburg, MO, Donald Johnson and wife Spanda of Tijeras, NM, Jeffrey Johnson and wife Kathy of Pawnee City, NE, seven grandchildren, Steven Johnson and wife Erin of Greensboro, NC, Deborah Callaway of Warrensburg, MO, Nicholas Johnson and wife Megan of Rio Rancho, NM, Dana Harrison and husband Cameron of Littleton, CO, Tyler Johnson and wife Kimberly of Pawnee City, NE, Austin Johnson and special friend Kelsey of Pawnee City, NE,  Brady Johnson and wife Cortney of Pawnee City, NE, great grandchildren, Emma Claire, Nolan, Rutledge, Reece, Lane, Abby, Jaydon, Joey, Jamie, Rhett, Stetson and Rowan, sister,  Mary Jo Yates, brother, Walter Saxton and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral Service 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Wherry Mortuary, 919 G Street, Pawnee City, Nebraska.  Officiating Reverend Duane Westing.  Visitation on Wednesday, January, 29, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with family greeting friends from 5-7 p.m. at Wherry Mortuary, Pawnee City, Nebraska.  Interment at Pawnee City Cemetery, Pawnee City, Nebraska.
