Lorraine "Lori" (Beebe) Deason

Lorraine “Lori” Deason was born to Michael and Gladys Beebe on October 31, 1934 in Shelby, Nebraska.  She lived in Shelby for 4 or 5 years until moving to Lincoln with her family where she graduated from high school.  After graduation, Lori attended a two-year business school and received her accounting degree.  She worked in the business field for a few years in Lincoln.

She married David Malone, Sr. and they had one son David, Jr.  They moved to Tecumseh in 1976. The couple later divorced.  Lori then married Tom Deason.  Lori held many different jobs in the food industry working as a waitress and fry cook.  She worked at the Tecumseh health clinic, was a co-owner of Deason’s Bar with her husband Tom until it closed in 1989, worked at Ace Café, Vet’s Club, Bowling Alley, Village Tavern in Elk Creek and most recently retired as Deli Manager at Tecumseh Central Market.   Lori loved her customers and work associates in the businesses she was involved in.  She was known for always being a very hard worker.  When she wasn’t at work, she enjoyed watching Husker football, HBO stand-up comedy and Star Trek-The Next Generation.  Lori attended the First Presbyterian Church in Tecumseh until it closed. 

Lori passed away October 18, 2021 at the age of 86 years, 11 months and 17 days.

She is survived by her son Dave Malone, Jr. and wife Karen of Tecumseh.

Lori was preceded in death by her son Rick, who died in a car accident in the early 1980’s and an older brother, Boyd Beebe.

Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 23, 2021 at the Wherry Mortuary in Tecumseh, Nebraska with Rev. Hugh Giesbrecht officiating.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 22, 2021 at the Wherry Mortuary in Tecumseh, Nebraska.

Memorials may go to the family’s choice.

Burial will be in the Tecumseh Cemetery, Tecumseh, Nebraska at a later date.
