Lola Irene Flider, 93, of Table Rock, Nebraska passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at Colonial Acres in Humboldt, Nebraska. She was born to William and Edna (Jackson) Crawford on September 11, 1926 at DuBois, Nebraska.
Lola was baptized in the Methodist Church in DuBois, Nebraska and was a member there before transferring to the Table Rock Methodist Church on February 9,1992. Lola graduated from DuBois High School in 1944. She married Edward Edwin Flider on July 3, 1945 at the United Methodist Church in Loveland, Colorado while he was on furlough. During Edward’s service time Lola worked at the DuBois Telephone Company. Returning from the service Ed and Lola moved to Loveland, Colorado in 1946. In 1952 they returned to Table Rock. Ed and Lola lived on their farm until 1967 when they moved to Table Rock. Lola worked in grocery stores and owned the Flider Drive Inn from 1969 to 1980.
Lola was a housewife, grocery store clerk, owner of the Flider Drive Inn and an Avon dealer.
Lola had memberships at the Table Rock American Legion Auxiliary (Lifetime membership), Czech Lodge #84 for 50 plus years, United Methodist Women for 50 plus years, Charter member of the Table Rock Historical Society, Pawnee City VFW-lifelong member and United Methodist Church for 75 plus years.
Lola loved cooking, especially cookies, her grandchildren and great grandchildren, playing cards, polka dancing, volunteering at the Table Rock Senior Center and the Red Hatters Society.
She was preceded in death by her parents William and Edna Crawford, husband Edward, son-in-law Bob Uhri, sisters, Donna Keyser and Dorothy Arick and brothers, Charles Crawford, Jack Crawford, Ralph Crawford and Harry Crawford.
She is survived by daughters, Jackie Uhri of Stella, NE, Janet Buchholz (Gary) of Table Rock, NE, Judi Jirovsky (Rick) of Malcolm, NE, son, Jim Flider (Lisa) of Lincoln, NE, 10 grandchildren and spouses, Lisa Dworak (Tim) of Seward, NE, Mark Uhri (Lisa) of Dawson, NE, Valerie Binder (Tyler) of Table Rock, NE, Jason Burow of Malcolm, NE, Amy Bodfield of Lincoln, NE, Kristi Gustafson (Corey) of Malcolm, NE, Jason Jirovsky (Holly) of Grundy Center,IA, Kelli Pavlish (Jake) of Omaha, NE, Jennifer Ewing (Anthony) of Lincoln, NE, Nathan Flider (Krystal) of Lincoln, NE, 26 great grandchildren, sister, Belva Steiner of Nebraska City, NE, sisters-in-law, Joanie Crawford of Klamath Falls, OR and Betty Adolf of Burlington, CO.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 10, 2020 at the United Methodist Church in Table Rock, Nebraska with Pastor Dorothy Smith officiating.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with family greeting friends from 4-6 p.m, Sunday, February 9, 2020 at the United Methodist Church in Table Rock, Nebraska.
Memorials may go to the family's choice.
Interment will be in the Czech Cemetery, rural Table Rock, Nebraska.
