Linda Lee Thompson, 82, of Juniata, Nebraska was born November 29, 1943, to Charles H. and Dona Belle (Chandler) Thompson. After graduating from Humboldt High School in 1961, Linda spent a year working in Washington D. C. for the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI). Other employment included being an executive secretary in Hastings, Nebraska. Later, she helped run the local café in Juniata, Nebraska. Linda especially loved to spend time traveling, trying out new eating places, and attending farm auctions.
Linda passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Bryan Medical Center in Lincoln, Nebraska having reached the earthly age of eighty-two years, six months, twenty days. She is preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Paul and Jim Thompson.
Linda leaves behind her partner, Randy Kennedy of Juniata, NE; brother Tom Thompson and wife Kerry of Omaha, nephews: Jason Dillon and wife Cathy of Lincoln, Dustin Struss of Oklahoma City, OK; Taylor Wilson of Kansas City, KS; Ryan Thompson and fiancé Jess Stockman of Gretna, NE; niece Joelle Scherr and husband Tyler of Omaha, NE; and many great-nieces, great-nephews, relatives, and friends.
Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at the Humboldt Cemetery, Humboldt, Nebraska with Pastor Howard Blecha officiating.
