Linda Ann (King) Hunzeker, 71, of Humboldt, Nebraska was born on April 25, 1950 in Tecumseh, Nebraska to Richard and June (Slagle) King. She was raised in Tecumseh with her mom and step dad, Willard Wright and graduated from Tecumseh High School with the class of 1969. Linda was united in marriage to Jerry Hunzeker and the couple made their home in Humboldt, Nebraska for many years. While living in Humboldt, Linda worked at Campbell’s Soup in Tecumseh and the Colonial Acres Nursing Home in Humboldt. She was a member of the Northridge Community Church in Humboldt and was a devoted, born again Christian.
Linda passed away on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at the Southlake Village Rehabilitation and Care Center in Lincoln, Nebraska having reached the earthly age of seventy-one years and sixteen days. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jerry and brother Larry (Julie) Wright.
Linda is survived by her daughter Teresa Schmoe and husband Darin of Garnett, KS; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers: Robert King and special friend Shirley Livingston of Fremont, NE; Roger Wright and wife Sherri of Lincoln, NE; a sister Diana (Wright) Sautter and husband Rod of Bruning, NE; and many other relatives and friends.
Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 5, 2021, at the Northridge Community Church in Humboldt, Nebraska with Pastor Ryan Weaver officiating.
A register book will be available to sign on Friday, June 4, 2020, at The Wherry Mortuary, 207 N. Nemaha Street in Humboldt, Nebraska.
Inurnment will be at The Bohemian National Cemetery south of Humboldt.
Memorial contributions may be given to the family with a later designation.
