      Lawrence “Bub” Yates

Lawrence Eugene Yates, 65, of Tecumseh, Nebraska passed away May 12, 2025.  He was born to Jack D. and M. Joan (Gardner) Yates on April 22, 1960 in Beatrice, Nebraska.  He moved with his family in his early years from Lewiston, Tecumseh and Fremont.  He attended Cedar Bluffs High School. 

Larry was a dealer in small engines and did small engine repair.  In his spare time, he enjoyed birdwatching and fishing.  He loved collecting military history items.

He is survived by his two daughters, Elizabeth and Billie, his siblings, Jim Yates, Sheila Yates-Vuu and Chris Yates and friend Judy Ellis, brother-in-law Dale Bowersmith, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Joan, brother Jack Yates, Jr. and sister Cindy Bowersmith.

Private family graveside services will be held at the Spring Creek Cemetery, rural Tecumseh, Nebraska.
