Laura Marie Cameron, of Summerfield, Kansas, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 3rd, 2021, at her home.
Laura was born February 26, 1964, to John E and Rosalie M (Mitchell) Meybrunn in Marysville, KS. She grew up on a farm east of Oketo where she learned to love all things farming. She carried that passion all through her life. She graduated from Axtell High School in 1982 She went on to earn her nursing degree at Southeast Community College.
She married Jon W Schell in 1989, to this union four children were born and they later divorced. In 2000 she found home with husband, Mark Cameron on the farm.
She was an excellent nurse who touched many lives in the various places she worked. After her career in nursing she joined Mark on the farm where she was able to enjoy one of her greatest passions. She was part owner of CG’s grocery store in Summerfield and a lifelong member of Holy Family Parish and Altar Society. In recent years the highlight of her days was watching her grandchildren and sharing her love of the simple things with them. Laura was not a person who cherished things, her most prized possessions in life were her children and grandchildren.
