John Arthur Dolsky

John Arthur Dolsky, 76, passed away Monday, July 11, 2022, at Community Medical Center in Falls City.  John was born in Humboldt on April 5, 1946, to Arthur and Evelyn (Watsek) Dolsky.  He graduated from Humboldt High School in 1964 and attended the University of Nebraska, graduating in 1970.  After college, John worked for the State of Nebraska Deptartment of Revenue and later for the Administrative Services Department where he was the telecommunications manager. 

On December 31, 1966, he married Shirley Hunzeker.  The couple made their home in Lincoln until John’s retirement in 2009, when they returned to Humboldt and built a home south of town. 

He is survived by his wife, Shirley;  two daughters, Kimberly (Joe) Berlin of Springtown, Texas and Kristine (Jeff) Fushia of Lincoln; grandchildren Kaitlin Hildreth, Ryan Hildreth and Corbin Fushia, all of Lincoln; and Tayler Berlin of Dallas, Texas, Emily Berlin of Denton, Texas and Jackson Berlin of Springtown, Texas; a sister, Janelle Koff of Roswell, Georgia and brother James (Sue) Dolsky of Lincoln; brother-in-law Ron Hunzeker of Table Rock; Sisters-in-law Joyce (Terry) Farrington of Akeley, Mn and Carol (Larry) Rexroth of Humboldt,  nieces, nephews, and many friends. 

John was preceded in death by his parents, parents-in-law Jake and Maxine Hunzeker, an infant sister, Janet, nephew Dean Rexroth, and sister-in-law Linda Hunzeker. 

It was John’s wish that there be no services.  Private family inurnment at the Bohemian National Cemetery at a later date.  Memorials to the Humboldt Rescue Squad or Community Medical Center in Falls City.
