Jeffrey Lynn Spier was born January 29, 1956 to Robert Henry and Lola Jean (Lantz) Spier in Pawnee City, Nebraska. He passed from this world on August 28, 2022 at the age of 66.
He attended Pawnee City Schools until he joined the United States Marine Corp in February 1973 at the age of 17. He was honorably discharged in January 1977.
He worked construction for a few years and then became an over the road truck driver. He enjoyed “tinkering” on his small farm, raising cattle, cutting firewood and growing his garden.
He was preceded in death by his father Robert Henry Spier and mother Lola Jean Clutter, brothers, Dale Spier and Larry Spier and step-brother Steve Peters.
He is survived by Teresa Spier, daughter Rebecca (Kody) Benson, Kennadi, Kinsley, Kade, son, Bradley (Samantha) Spier, Autumn and Alora, sisters, Norma (Frank) Hamilton, Theresa (Charles) Schneider, sister-in-law, Leslie Spier, step-sister, Gale Johnson, nieces, nephews cousins and friends.
Celebration of Life Service: 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 1, 2022 at the United Methodist Church, Pawnee City, Nebraska with Pastor Kim officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the United States Marine Corp Honor Guard and Pawnee City American Legion Post #168.
Visitation on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 from Noon-8:00 p.m., at Wherry Mortuary, 919 G Street, Pawnee City, Nebraska. Inurnment will be in the Pawnee City City Cemetery at a later date. Memorials in lieu of flowers may go to the United Methodist Church, Pawnee City or the Veteran Flag Committee. Online condolences may be left at www.wherrymortuary.com.
