Jean Percival Obituary

Jean Marie Percival came to this earth on December 26, 1950 to her parents Calvin and Martha (Massy) Percival.  After a short illness, she passed away on December 2, 2021 at the age of 70 years. Jean was born and raised in Pawnee City, Nebraska. She graduated with the class of 1969 from PCHS. After graduation, Jean attended business school in Grand Island, Nebraska.  After graduating, she then moved to Lincoln, Nebraska, where she got a job with the State of Nebraska.  Jean lived and worked in Lincoln most of her adult life. She worked for the state in many departments, eventually ending up as an accountant for the Department of Labor.

Jean loved many things. She loved camping as a young child.  Jean came home every weekend to help mom and dad. In the winter she would help them gather wood for the wood stove in the house. Jean didn’t have kids of her own but she had plenty of nieces and nephews to spoil, and then eventually great nieces and great nephews. Jean would do almost anything for them. She enjoyed going to all of their sporting activities and even spending hot summers at the fair watching them show their horses. One summer Jean and Martha took some of the kids to the Black Hills, where she had visited many times as a child.  Jean loved watching them grow into young adults and raising their own families as she got to enjoy all of their activities.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents Calvin and Martha Percival, her brother Randy and her great nephew Kolt Byrd.

She is survived by her brother Mark (Yvonne) Percival of Fontana, CA, her sister Janice Lewis of Pawnee City, nieces Amanda (Bob) Engler of Lincoln,  Amber Lewis of Pawnee City, Heather (Ceaser) Jimenez of Fontana, CA, Mary Jean ( Leo) Marocco of Fontana, CA, Callie (Triston) Hormann of Marysville, KS, Aimee Percival ( Zach Worden) Fontana, CA, nephews, Sean Lewis of Oklahoma City, OK, Thomas (Carissa) Percival of Fontana, CA and Jozeph ( Rachel) Percival of Beaver Crossing, great nieces and great nephews, Anthony Engler, Kashton and Mary Ries, CJ, AJ and Alejandra Jimenez, Elizabeth and Emery Marocco, Thomas, Logan, and Bethany Percival, Georgia, Emery and Knox Percival, Aria Worden and Lillyan Hormann, sister-in-law, Darla (Percival) Meyer, along with many cousins and friends.
