Jean Marie Mackey

Jean Marie Mackey, 67, of Pawnee City, Nebraska passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at her home with her family by her side.  She was born on August 29, 1955 to Oscar and Wilma (Cope) Mackey in Falls City, Nebraska.

Jean was preceded in death by her mother Wilma Mackey and her father Oscar Mackey, her two sisters, Marge Mackey, Sheila Pelletier, her brothers, Ozzy Mackey and Dave Mackey.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Carl “Nick” Nicholas, children, Michelle Snider, Quintin (Amanda) Pfohl, April (Joel) Gertsch, Matt (Jill) Nichols, sisters, Robyn Watson, Penny (Tom) Auxier, brother, Steve (Billy ) Mackey, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Celebration of Life will be held at the Ponderosa (Pawnee Pond)  in Pawnee City, Nebraska on September 10, 2022 starting at 10:00 a.m. Family will be doing a potluck with the family supplying the meats, condiments and paper plates.  Please inquire with Penny Auxier for the side dishes and drinks that are needed.
