James Edwin Allen

James "Jim" Allen, 65, of Tecumseh, passed away at his home in Tecumseh on August 6, 2020.  He was born to Clifford and Genevieve (Murphy) Allen on July 7, 1955 in Beatrice, Nebraska. He grew up on the family farm and and graduated from Tecumseh High School.  Jim assisted his father with farming until working as a custodian for the Tecumseh Public Schools for 33 years.  

Jim was an avid movie buff and enjoyed playing cards, attending auctions and collecting toy tractors, G I Joe's, rocks and arrowheads.  

He is survived by his sisters, Dorothea "Dottie" Kubitz and husband Wayne of Lincoln, Arlene Huenink of Lincoln and Annalee Owens of Gold Canyon, AZ, nieces and nephews, Nicholas, Richard and Joel Huenink, Jeff and Laura Kubitz, Sandy Olsen and Todd Nickel. 

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Genevieve and infant brother Lonnie.  

 Due to Covid-19,  Private Family Liturgy Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 13, 2020 at the Wherry Mortuary in Tecumseh, Nebraska with Father Thomas McGuire officiating. The service will be live streamed on the Wherry Mortuary/Wherry Monument Facebook page and also the Wherry Mortuary website for those unable to attend in person.

 Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 12, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Wherry Mortuary in Tecumseh, Nebraska.

 Memorials may go to the family’s choice.

 Inurnment will be in the Vesta Cemetery, rural Tecumseh, Nebraska.
