Jack Lorin Evans was born to John R. and Callie (Ross) Evans on December 12 1923 in Tecumseh, Nebraska.  He grew up near Tecumseh and graduated from Vesta High School.  He met his future wife, Henrietta Wagner before he was inducted in the service.  Jack served his country during the end of World War II from Aug. 23, 1944- July 5, 1946.  He was in the Rhineland and Central Europe campaigns.

Jack and Henrietta were married June 14, 1947.  To this union four children were born, Linda, Sandra, Judy and Tom.  The couple made their home in Tecumseh where they raised their family and Jack worked as the Johnson County Superintendent for the Nebraska Department of Roads.
