Obituary

Glenn Arnold Krebs, 74, of Humboldt, died peacefully in his sleep at his home in Humboldt, Nebraska.  He was born to  Erwin Gottlob and Leona Marie Krebs on April 8, 1947 in Denver, Colorado.   Glenn resided in Denver, CO; Boulder, CO; Hudson, WI; Englewood, CO; Bird City, KS; Jennings, KS; Wakeeney, KS and Humboldt, NE during his lifetime. 

Glenn graduated from George Washington High School in 1965 and attended Colorado State University in 1965.  Glenn worked as a Camera Repairman-Instructor at Pentax School of Camera Repair, as a farm hand and later a Methodist minister.

Glenn was united in marriage on May 24, 1974 in Golden, CO to Betty Arnold.  Betty died February 24, 2020.

He was a funny guy whose smile and laughter warmed hearts. His kindness towards people was evident in the many letters he kept from parishioners and friends.  After his 12 years of service to the church, he retired in Humboldt, NE to enjoy the country and quiet near his Nebraska family.  Glenn enjoyed performing in barbershop quartet, playing the bass and flying as an amateur airplane pilot.  He loved all animals and provided a home to many in his lifetime.  Glenn loved his family and was very proud of his brothers, his nephews and nieces, and his 8 grand-nephews and grand-nieces. His greatest love and best friend was his wife Betty, who he cared for through her battle with MS throughout their 47 year marriage.

He is survived by his brothers, Wayne Allen Krebs, Keith Douglas Krebs, and James Louis Krebs, nieces and nephews,  Jackie Emerson of Rio Dell, CA; Aaron Weil of Denver, CO; Jessi Krebs of Bellevue, NE; Kyle Krebs of Aurora, CO; Chelsea Fischer of St. Petersburg, FL; and Jared Albright of Columbus, OH, great-nieces and nephews, Kyle Jr. and Ethan Krebs, of Aurora, CO; Jake and Cole Emerson of Rio Dell, CA; Ella (age 10) and Bennett (10 months) Krebs of Bellevue, NE; Kamden (age 6) and Kasen (age 4) Fischer of St. Petersburg, FL

Glenn's parents (Erwin and Leona) and wife (Betty) preceded him in death.
