Edward Medina Obituary

Edward E. Medina, 70, of Tecumseh, passed away at his home in Tecumseh, Nebraska, Saturday, December 10, 2022. He was born to Martin and Guadalupe (Herrera) Medina on December 19, 1951 in Dallas, Texas.   Edward lived most of of his life in Texas, until moving to Tecumseh in 2018.  He graduated from Ennis High School and continued his education at Nevara Junior College in Texas.   Edward served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Conflict.  

He was united in marriage to Roberta Justus.  They were blessed with 36 years of marriage.  He was an over the road truck driver for 54 years and loved seeing the country behind the wheel.  

He was known as "Chief" to his family and friends.  He enjoyed singing, playing guitar, watching westerns, playing cards and board games.  Chief was especially proud of his American Indian heritage.  He was a good husband and dad and grandpa.  Chief will be dearly missed by those who knew him.  

He is survived by his loving wife Roberta, children, Donald, Jennifer, Eddie and Vicky, numerous grandchildren and special friends Marjorie Berg and Judy Ellis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, December 15, 2022 at the Spring Creek Cemetery, rural Tecumseh, Nebraska with Pastor Hugh Giesbrecht officiating.

A register book will be available for signatures from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at the Wherry Mortuary in Tecumseh.

Memorials may go to the family’s choice.

Inurnment will be in the Spring Creek Cemetery, rural Tecumseh, Nebraska, with military rites by the Navy Funeral Honors Team.
