Donald Rowe Obituary

Donald Lee Rowe was born May 14, 1942 to Hubert and Bertha (Schoen) Rowe on the family farm near Cook, Nebraska. Don graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1959.

He was united in marriage to Arlene C. Casper on April 10, 1964 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Auburn, Nebraska.  This union was blessed with two children, a son Mike and daughter Lisa.

After his marriage, Don served in the National Guard attending basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.  He worked for many years in night maintenance for the Campbell Soup Company which later became Tecumseh Poultry.  He was an engineer for Tecumseh Poultry until his retirement.  Don also farmed near Johnson, Nebraska. In his spare time, Don enjoyed woodworking and fishing and time with his grandchildren. 

Don passed away January 13, 2024 at his home in Tecumseh, Nebraska at the age of 81 years.

He is survived by his wife Arlene of Tecumseh, son Michael Rowe and wife Tammy and daughter Lisa Blinde and husband Jim of rural Johnson, grandsons, Steven, Eric and Kevin Blinde and Dylan Rowe and granddaughter Tori Rowe, sister, Beverly Slama and husband John and sister-in-law Lola Barry, nieces and nephews.

Don was preceded in death by his parents Hubert and Bertha and brother-in-law Dick Barry.

Per Don's wishes, no services will be held.
