Donald Schriner Obituary

Donald Ivan Schriner, 85, of Humboldt, Nebraska was born on November 12, 1932 to Donnie and Ione (Hall) Schriner in Riverdale, Kansas.  He graduated from Lincoln High School in Lincoln, Nebraska.  He worked as a floor assembler for the Bruning Company and Don then enlisted in the United States Army November 12, 1953 and served his country during the Korean War until his honorable discharge on November 10, 1955.  He and his wife Carrie moved to Humboldt, Nebraska later in life.

Donald passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2018, at the Colonial Acres Nursing Home in Humboldt, Nebraska having reached the age of eighty-five years, five months, and fourteen days.  He was preceded in death by parents; wife Carrie, a sister Doris Dilworth and husband Jim, twin brother Ronald, and brothers Larry and Alvie Schriner.

Don is survived by his son Clint Schriner of Humboldt, NE; step-children: B.J. McGaughey of Jonesboro, GA; Carl Sawyer of South Carolina, Perry Sawyer and wife Violet of Lincoln, NE; William Sawyer of Kentucky, a brother Bert Schriner of Lincoln, NE; and many other relatives and friends.   

Private family memorial services will be held at a later date.

Memorials contributions are suggested to family’s choice with a later designation.
