Dewayne M. Seeba, 90, of Tecumseh, Nebraska, passed away on December 25, 2023 at the Good Samaritan Society in Syracuse, Nebraska. He was born in Tecumseh, Nebraska on May 10, 1933 to Fred and Clare (Kuhns) Seeba. Dewayne graduated from Tecumseh High School in May of 1951. Following high school, Dewayne served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War from his enlistment on Sept. 16, 1953 to his honorable discharge on July 28, 1955. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal for his dedicated service.
Dewayne was united in marriage to Betty (Lempka) Putnam on Sept. 5, 1959 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in St. Mary, Nebraska. From this union two children were born, Kim and Darwin. In the early years of his marriage, Dewayne worked for the U.S. Postal Service in the Lincoln and Tecumseh offices for a number of years. He later worked as a meat inspector in South Sioux City until he retired.
No matter the jobs he held, Dewayne was always a farmer at heart, and truly enjoyed working on his farm and driving his tractors and his '56 Ford convertible. In his retirement, Dewayne enjoyed going to St. Mary or Tecumseh each morning to have coffee with his friends. Dewayne also loved animals, especially his dog, Bear and cats, Tom and Henry. He will be truly missed.
Dewayne is survived by his daughter Kim, grandchildren, Kelly, Corrie and Cole and daughter-in-law Rhonda Seeba. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Clare Seeba, sister Darlene, infant brother Darwin and son Darwin Seeba.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 20, 2024 at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, St. Mary, Nebraska with Pastor Hugh Giesbrecht officiating. Full military honors will be conducted by the Tecumseh VFW Post #8221 and American Legion Post #2 and the Army National Guard Funeral Honors Team.

Inurnment will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, St. Mary, Nebraska.
