Delores M (Tupa) Gilbert

Delores Mae (Tupa) Gilbert, 91, of Table Rock, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at the Johnson County Hospital in Tecumseh, Nebraska. Delores was born on June 3, 1929 to Joseph and Grace (Perry) Tupa in Humboldt, Nebraska.  She graduated from Table Rock High School in 1946.

Delores was united in marriage to Dwain Gilbert on May 10, 1948 in Tecumseh, Nebraska.  To this marriage two children were born, Janice and Elaine.

Dwain and Delores settled north of Table Rock raising grain and working a dairy.  Dwain and Delores especially loved attending school events of children and grandchildren.  The grand kids loved the music she played on the piano, Christmas carols and Boogie Woogie 40’s music.  She loved making Valentine cookies for the grand kids.  No matter what time of day you would stop at Delores house, there was always coffee and cookies for them to have.  Delores loved playing pinochle with the Table Rock ladies or grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Grace Tupa, her husband Dwain, her in-laws, Edgar and Mary Gilbert, sister and brother-in- law Edna (Keith) Harding and infant sister.

Delores is survived by her daughters, Janice (Dale) Oehm of Humboldt, Elaine (Lynn) Binder of Table Rock, grandchildren, Jeff (Marilyn) Oehm of Humboldt, Amy (Brian) Barcroft of Lincoln,  Deanne (Jason) Ebeltoft of Omaha, Todd (April) Binder of Table Rock, Tyler (Valerie) Binder of Table Rock, nine great-grandchildren, Brenner Nicholas of Overland Park, KS, Cole Oehm of Sabetha, KS, Alexandra, Cameron and Maverick Binder of Table Rock, Ryan, Sydney, Lance and Sadie Binder of Table Rock, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Wherry Mortuary, 919 G Street, Pawnee City, Nebraska.  Officiating Pastor Chris Rohrbaugh.  Visitation on Monday, July 20, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m. at Wherry Mortuary, Pawnee City, Nebraska.  Interment at the Table Rock Cemetery, Table Rock, Nebraska.
