David C. Malone

David C. Malone, Jr. was born to David and Lorraine (Beebe) Malone, Sr. on September 11, 1971 in Lincoln, Nebraska.  Dave and his mother Lori moved to Tecumseh in 1976.  While growing up, Dave enjoyed playing baseball and played for the Tecumseh American Legion Ball Team.  He graduated from Tecumseh High School with the Class of 1990.  Dave then attended Peru State College and graduated with a degree in coaching. 

He was united in marriage to Karen Casey on July 22, 2000 at the Methodist Church in Johnson, Nebraska.  Dave and Karen made their home in Tecumseh, Nebraska.  Dave was employed at the Tecumseh Country Club, the Harvest Bowl, and his last fifteen years for Highway 50 Smokehouse.  Dave was known for always being accommodating to his customers. 

Dave grew up as a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Tecumseh.  He loved golfing, watching wrestling and football on t.v. and playing with their dog Maggie.  Dave enjoyed spending Sundays with Karen watching their favorite recorded t.v. shows together. 

He passed away unexpectedly on May 19, 2023 at the age of 51 years.  Dave was preceded in death by his mother Lori Deason, brother Rick Malone and grandmother Gladys Beebe.

Dave is survived by his loving wife Karen. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at the Wherry Mortuary in Tecumseh, Nebraska with Pastor Tom Earhart officiating. The service was also livestreamed on the Wherry Mortuary Facebook page and a link to the livestream is now available at the bottom of Dave's webpage.

Register book signing will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at the Wherry Mortuary in Tecumseh, Nebraska. 

Memorials may go to the family’s choice.

Inurnment will be in the Johnson Cemetery, Johnson, Nebraska.
