Cynthia Kay “Cyndi” Zimmerman, 62, of Tecumseh, passed away May 27, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born Ronald and Shirley (Schaunaman) Zimmerman on August 14, 1962 in Ellendale, North Dakota. She grew up in North Dakota with her siblings and graduated from West Fargo High School in Fargo, North Dakota.
Cyndi was married to Jeff Campbell and enjoyed traveling with him and the carnival for about 10 years. The couple later divorced. Cyndi worked for Casey’s General Store for just shy of 11 years where she was the assistant manager. She loved being able to see all her customers on a regular basis. She was diagnosed with lung cancer in October of 2024, which later spread to her bones, brain and liver. Cyndi tried to maintain her work career during treatments as much as she could, as she dearly loved her Casey’s work family.
When she wasn’t working, Cyndi loved spending time with family and friends, cruising backroads, going to the movie theatre and shopping, which included her huge collection of Hey Dude shoes!
Cyndi was preceded in death by her parents and brother Tommy Zimmerman.
She is survived by children, Jana (Todd) Anderson, grandchildren, Lexi (Adrian) Bailey, Braden Kline, Ella Anderson and great-grandchildren, Mason, Milo, Myra and Marley of Scranton, ND, Paul (Korinne) Mausehund and grandchildren, Kiley, Logan and Kaitlyn of Scranton, ND, Cassie-May Harper Stark of Tecumseh and Jaxon Lee Zimmerman of Tecumseh, siblings, Brian Zimmerman of Hawaii, Debbie Barra (Latasha McNary) of Massachusetts, Tim Zimmerman of North Dakota, Mandy (Alex) Webb of Virginia, Laurie (Brad) Matzke of North Dakota, Dawn (Levi) Wipf of South Dakota, David Zimmerman of Wisconsin and Tammy (Aaron) Ferguson, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
