Charlotte Ruth (Shoemaker) Wagner

Charlotte Ruth (Shoemaker) Wagner, 83, of Tecumseh, passed away in Tecumseh, Nebraska on November 5, 2022.  She was one of ten children born to Earl and Oda (Woodruff) Shoemaker on March 2, 1939 in Marengo, Iowa.  Her family moved to Nebraska when she was young.  She attended grade school through the eighth grade at a rural Johnson County, Nebraska country school and high school at Auburn High School.  Charlotte then attended the Capital School of Hair Styling and received her degree in Cosmetology.

She was united in marriage to Charles Wagner at the Auburn Christian Church on August 18, 1956.  To this union two sons were born, Randall and Craig.  They made their home in Tecumseh where Chuck worked for many years at Campbell’s Soup Company and Charlotte was a stay-at-home mom and homemaker.  They attended the Baptist Lighthouse Church in Auburn for many years.  Her husband Chuck passed away October 12, 2020.

Charlotte enjoyed baking, sewing, Christmas and Thanksgiving holidays, and taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Craig and eight siblings.

Charlotte is survived by her son Randy of Tecumseh, four grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and one brother. ​ 

 Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m.  Friday, November 11, 2022 at the Wherry Mortuary in Humboldt, Nebraska with Pastor Hugh Giesbrecht officiating.

 Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, November 10, 2022 at the Wherry Mortuary in Tecumseh, Nebraska. 

 Memorials may go to the family’s choice.

 Interment will be in the Humboldt Cemetery, Humboldt, Nebraska.
