Calvin Furman Obituary

Calvin Eugene Furman, 75, of Smithville, Texas passed away on April 16, 2024 at an Austin, Texas hospital. He was born March 4, 1949 to Calvin and Doris Furman, in Fairbury, Nebraska, the eldest of their five children. He attended Tecumseh High School.

Calvin served in the United States Army from 1969-1971 with active army service in the Republic of Vietnam. He was awarded the Commendation Medal for Heroism for his service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Doris Furman, sister Andrea Lovitt and brother Steven Furman.

Survivors include son Jeremy Reinke, brother Robin Furman, sister Melanie (Rick Koenig) Laflin and brother-in-law Gary Lovitt.

The family will honor Calvin with a service at a later date.
