Barbara Ann (Moenning) Fiegener

Barbara Ann Fiegener, 87, of Humboldt, Nebraska was born on September 9, 1932 in Leona, Kansas to Fred and Mary (Davis) Moenning.  On November 28, 1962, Barbara was united in marriage to Wilfred “Willie” Fiegener at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Dawson, Nebraska.  The couple made their home on a farm east of Shubert where Willie farmed with his father for many years and Barbara was a homemaker.  In 1991, the couple sold their farm and moved to Utica, Nebraska where they lived for many years.  Barb and Willie moved together to Humboldt in January of 2017 when they became residents of the Colonial Acres Nursing Home.

Barbara passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2020, at the Colonial Acres Nursing Home in Humboldt, Nebraska having reached the earthly age of eighty-seven years, ten months and twenty days.  She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Eldon Moenning and a sister Evelyn Eaton.

Barbara is survived by her son Anthony “Tony” Fiegener and wife Julie of Hollister, MO; grandchildren: Alyssa Fiegener of Utica, NE; Dominique Fiegener of Hollister, MO; Brittany Briggs of Kearney, NE; Dallas Briggs of Manhattan, KS; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A Private Memorial Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Dawson, Nebraska with Father Kenneth Hoesing officiating. 

Inurnment will be at the St. Anne’s Catholic Cemetery in Shubert, Nebraska at a later date.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the family’s choice with a later designation.
