Ardyce June (Gierhan) Philippi

Ardyce June Philippi, 85, of Beatrice, (formerly of Blue Springs), died Thursday, August 14, 2025 at her home surrounded by family.  She was born January 1, 1940 in Lexington, Nebraska to Herman and Dorothy (Struempler) Gierhan, the family later moved to Gresham, Nebraska.  She graduated from Gresham High School in 1957.  On September 6, 1958, she married Marvin Philippi at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Gresham, Nebraska.  She was the Postmaster in Blue Springs from 1981- 2002. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Wymore, Nebraska, serving as the organist for many years. 

Ardyce is survived by her children; Randall Philippi (Bev) of Lincoln, Mark Philippi (Joni) of Hastings, Melody Aden (Rod) of Beatrice, Dawn Jurgens (Steve) of Filley,  Amy Philippi (Scott Marsteller) of Alliance,  grandchildren: Katie Brandhof (Doug) of Mitchellville, IA, Betsy Koster (Brandon) of Lincoln,  Caitlin Mumm (Micah) of Hebron,  Mikel Philippi of Denver, CO, Joel Philippi (Sierra) of Suamico, WI, Jackson Aden (fiance' Savannah Barrett) of Milford,  Carter Aden of Cortland,  Olivia Aden of LaVista, Callie Higgins (Jim) of Lincoln, Taylor Jurgens (fiance' Sabrina Nihsen) of Kansas City, MO, Silas Jurgens of Lincoln,  Caryss Jurgens and True Jurgens of Filley,  great-grandchildren: Everlee and Vanden Brandhof, Greenlee and Maggie Koster, Tatum, Bowen and Goldie Mumm, Mathias, Jediah, Abel and Tobin Higgins, sister Sandra Sukstorf (Delbert) of Fremont, brothers and sisters in law, Larry and Martha Philippi of Topeka, KS, Jim and Kathy Philippi of Norwalk, IA, Terry and Alice Philippi of Denton, Dan and Vicki Philippi of Beatrice and Thelma Anderson of Beatrice, nieces, nephews and friends.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Marvin (2015); son-in-law Troy Busboom, grandson Isaiah Jurgens and great-grandson Archer Higgins.  

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Wymore, NE, with Pastor Greg Stuckwisch and Pastor Perry Sukstorf officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Monday, August 18, 2025 at the St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Wymore, Nebraska.  Memorial is established to the family's choice for later designation.   Interment will be in the Blue Springs Cemetery, Blue Springs, Nebraska.  Online condolences may be left @ www.wherrymortuary.com.
