William R Schultz

William Raymond Schultz, 93, of rural Tecumseh, Nebraska, passed away Sunday, April 28, 2019.  He was born to Carl and Frances (Gyhra) Schultz on February 20, 1926 in rural Tecumseh, Nebraska.  He grew up in rural Tecumseh and attended school at Hazel Green and Maple Center.  He graduated from Tecumseh High School.

William "Bill" was united in marriage to Dolores Weyers on December 27, 1952 at Ft. Smith, Arkansas.  To this union five daughters were born.  Bill and Dolores made their home southwest of Tecumseh where they farmed and raised their family.  Later Bill had a house moving business and then worked for Tecumseh Concrete.  He also worked at National Crane in Waverly until his retirement.  As a young man, he was also in the Nebraska National Guard.  In his spare time, Bill enjoyed fishing, camping and woodworking.

 He is survived by his daughters, Barb Sellhorn and husband Mark of Lincoln, Bev Borrenpohl and husband Roger of Tecumseh, Bonnie Piersol and husband Dan of Lincoln, JoAnn Schultz of Grant and Denise Young and husband Jay of Syracuse, 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, sisters, Charlene Scott and husband Charles and LaVelle Pella of Tecumseh and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, wife Dolores, brothers, Mel and Eileen Schultz and Martin and Luetta Schultz, sister Wilma and LeRoy Durman and in-laws, David Pella, Charles "Buzz" and Lois Rickman, Lou and Ilene Rickman, Lorin and Velma Weyers and LeRoy and Evelyn Weyers.  

  A Funeral Liturgy Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 3, 2019 at the Wherry Mortuary, Tecumseh, Nebraska with Father Craig Clinch officiating.

  Visitation will be at the Wherry Mortuary in Tecumseh, Nebraska, Thursday, May 2, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

  Memorials may go to the St. Andrew Catholic Church, Tecumseh, Nebraska.

  Inurnment will be in the St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery, rural Tecumseh, Nebraska.
