Willadean (Spier) Kaufman

  Willadean Idona Spier was born to Frank and Ella (Tegtmeier) Spier on January 20, 1935 at Burchard, Nebraska.  She graduated from Burchard High School, attended Peru State College and the University of Nebraska earning her Bachelors Degree in Education.  She worked as teacher for several years and then retired from teaching to raise her family.  Willadean later went back to Southeast Community College and received her LPN degree in nursing.

  She was united in marriage to Paul E. Kaufman on December 13, 1962.  They made their home in Tecumseh where they raised their children, Paula Yvonne and Matthew Paul.  After Paul retired from Tecumseh Building and Loan, Willadean and Paul moved to Lincoln.   Paul passed away January 30, 2008.  Willadean later became a resident of Sumner Place in Lincoln and passed away there on January 7, 2018 at the age of 82 years. 

   She is survived by her daughter, Paula Bell and husband Tom and their children, Tylan and Peyton of Bixby, Oklahoma and son, Matthew Kaufman and wife Michelle and their son C.J. of Lincoln, Nebraska.

  Willadean was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Ella Spier, husband Paul and sister, Yvonne Spier. 

 Private family graveside services will be held at the Blue Springs Cemetery at a later date.
