Shirley Ann (Couchman) Honeywell

   Shirley Ann (Couchman) Honeywell was born to Harold and Opal (Storey) Couchman on October 6, 1943 at Unionville, Missouri.  She moved with her family and was raised in Omaha, Nebraska where she graduated from North High School in 1961.  Shirley continued her education at Grace University and the University of Nebraska at Omaha. 

   Shirley was united in marriage to Larry L. Honeywell on May 19, 1962 in Omaha, Nebraska. 

   She was a homemaker and also taught piano lessons for many years.  For several years, Shirley cooked at a couple summer church camps, teaching her teenage helpers how to cook.  Shirley loved doing crafts, crocheting and quilting and all of her grandchildren received a quilt that she had made for them.    

  When her health declined Larry and Shirley moved to Tecumseh to be closer to family and Shirley became a resident of Belle Terrace.  Shirley and Larry were long time members of Park Lane Baptist Church in Omaha until they started attended First Baptist Church in Tecumseh. 

   She passed away December 30, 2019 at the Johnson County Hospital at the age of 76 years.

   Shirley is survived by her husband Larry of Tecumseh, children, Cathy Johnson and husband Dean of Tecumseh, Brian Honeywell and wife Wendy of Brock and Melissa Munro and husband Matt of Colorado Springs, CO, seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, sister, Judy Couchman of Colorado Springs, CO and nieces and nephews. 

   She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Barbara Mortenson. 

  Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 6, 2020 at the First Baptist Church in Tecumseh, Nebraska with Rev. Hugh Giesbrecht officiating. 

  A register book will be available for signatures at the Wherry Mortuary in Tecumseh, Nebraska.

  Memorials may go to Camp Assurance in care of Wherry Mortuary, 202 N. 3rd Street, Tecumseh, NE  68450.  

   Inurnment will be in the Vesta Cemetery, rural Tecumseh, Nebraska.
