Sharon Bridgmon Obituary

Sharon Jo Bridgmon, 80, of Tecumseh, Nebraska, formerly of Pawnee City, Nebraska passed away on Friday, June 29, 2018 in Tecumseh, Nebraska.  She was born on November 10, 1937 in Mallard, Iowa to Adrian and Iva (Schwint) Barber. Sharon lived in Mallard until after she graduated from High School. Sharon went to beauty school and worked at Brandies and met aunt Helga.  Helga introduced Sharon to Raimund.  While Sharon and Raimund were living in Omaha, Sharon worked at Brandies Department Store.   She worked as a beautician for many years in her home.  

She married Raimund Wolter on January 28, 1961. To this union three children were born.

After they were married Raimund and Sharon lived in Omaha for 9 years, then they moved to Waterloo, Nebraska and resided there for 15 years.  While in Waterloo, Sharon did a lot of babysitting. She and Raimund moved to Pawnee City in 1985. That is when they bought and ran the Little Brown Jug from 1985-1994.   

Raimund passed away June 15, 1987. Sharon ran the Little Brown Jug by herself until selling it in 1994.

She married Bob Bridgmon, February 15, 1995. 

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Pawnee City.

Sharon liked to read, cook, bake and work in her garden.  She also especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Adrian and Iva Barber, first husband, Raimund Wolter and her second husband, Harry Robert “Bob” Bridgmon.

Sharon is survived by her children,  Brian and Jennifer Wolter of Fremont, NE, Brenda and David Klepper of  Pawnee City, NE and Danny Wolter of Elkhorn, NE, three step-children, Lori Corum of Lincoln, NE, Teresa and Jack Hoover, Jr, of Lincoln, NE, Alan and Becky Bridgmon of Memphis, TN, grandchildren, Adrian Klepper, Gretna, NE, Dakota Wolter of Fremont, NE, step-grandchildren, Ashley (Hoover) and Justin Lewis, Kristin (Hoover) and husband Keith Parkinson, Jordon Bridgmon, Jack Hoover, III, Nicholas Hoover, Weston Corum, Christopher Hoover, Jacob Bridgmon, brothers, Russell and Marilyn Barber of Ralston, NE, Clifford and Judy Barber of Omaha, NE and Robert and Betty Barber of Algona, IA, sisters,  Doris and Phillip Conrad of Omaha, NE, and Marian Raumaker of Omaha, NE, sisters-in-law, Renate Kasper of Omaha, NE, Judy Wolter of Omaha, NE and Helga Keding of Dekalb, IL, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

Memorial service 9:30 a.m., on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at the United Methodist Church in Pawnee City, Nebraska. Officiating Pastor Sherry J. Sklenar. Visitation on Monday, July 2, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m. at Wherry Mortuary, 919 G Street, Pawnee City, Nebraska.
