Patricia Anne (Liller) McKinney

Patricia Anne Liller was born to Charles and Louise (O’Haver) Liller on May 24, 1946 in Baltimore, Maryland.   She grew up in Baltimore and attended schools there.  She married Jerry LaFrance and they had Lita, Joe and Karen and lived in California.  Jerry passed away at a young age.  After Jerry passed away, Pat returned to Maryland for about ten years. She met Mac and the two of them and their family moved to Nebraska in June of 1977 when Mac started working for the railroad.

Pat was united in marriage to Orland “Mac” McKinney, Jr. on September 29, 1971 at Wahoo, Nebraska. To this union were born, Kevin, Kelly and Dennis. 

 Pat worked as a waitress for the Veteran’s Club in Syracuse.  Later Pat and Mac owned the Ace Café and the Country Cottage Inn and Daycare in Tecumseh, Nebraska.  She provided childcare for many children in Tecumseh for years which she dearly loved. 

 She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Tecumseh, Nebraska where she volunteered as an AWANA instructor.  Pat was also a member of the VFW and Legion Auxiliary in Tecumseh.

  Pat enjoyed shopping, reading, crocheting, was a huge Baltimore Orioles fan and especially loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

  She passed away at Bryan Medical Center East in Lincoln, Nebraska, Friday, February 23, 2018 at the age of 71 years.     

  Pat is survived by her sons, Joe LaFrance and wife Janet of Odenton, MD, Kevin McKinney and wife Terri of Tecumseh and Dennis McKinney of Tecumseh, daughters, Lita Bosch of Pasadena, MD, Karen (LaFrance) Belding and husband Darrin of Tecumseh, Kelly Simmons and husband Mike, Jr. of Omaha and Haleigh McKinney of Bellevue, grandchildren, Kristan, Ashley and Chelsea Bosch, Robert and Hannah LaFrance, Ronny and Andrew Hazen, Trish McKinney and Milayna McKinney, numerous great-grandchildren, sister, Linda Tomsick of Reno, NV and nieces and nephews. 

  She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Jerry LaFrance and Orland "Mac" McKinney, Jr. (5/20/2002), brother, Donny and sisters, Sandra Jones, Gean Deege and Bernie Graham. 

   Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at the First Baptist Church in Tecumseh, Nebraska, with Rev. Hugh Giesbrecht officiating.

   Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, February 26, 2018 at the Wherry Mortuary in Tecumseh, Nebraska.

   Memorials in lieu of flowers may go to Shriners Hospital for Children.

   Interment will be in the Tecumseh Cemetery, Tecumseh, Nebraska.
