Mary Lou (Armknecht) Clark, 90, of Lincoln, passed away Dec. 25, 2018 in Lincoln, Nebraska. She was born March 8, 1928 to John and Sara (Cowden) Armknecht in Tecumseh, Nebraska. Mary Lou attended Tecumseh Public Schools and graduated from Tecumseh High School. She then went to Lincoln where she graduated from Lincoln School of Commerce. She worked for 36 years as a secretary at the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission.
Mary Lou was united in marriage to Donald Clark in Wahoo, Nebraska. They made their home in Lincoln, Nebraska. Donald passed away January 6, 1997.
In her spare time, she enjoyed her flower garden, country and polka music, being with her grandchildren and taking pictures of them, going to the Sunken Gardens and Colby Ridge, keeping up with the Nebraska Game and Parks improvements of their recreation and historical sites and over the years Mary Lou enjoyed many trips to Branson and the Grand Old Opry.
She is survived by her son, Rick Johns and wife Janice of Denton, granddaughter, Amber Johns, step-grandchildren, Adrienne Blake, Briana Bowdino, Aaron Clark and Kelsey Janda, great-grandchildren, Kaylee Briggs, Michol Bradley, Khalia Bradley and Reggie Thomas, great-great granddaughter Kynli, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Donald Clark, grandson, Nathan Johns, granddaughter Vonnell Briggs and brother, Elmer V. Armknecht Sr. and wife Victoria.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the Wherry Mortuary in Tecumseh, Nebraska with Pastor Dan Williams officiating.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with family greeting friends 6-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2018 at the Wherry Mortuary in Tecumseh.
Memorials may go to the family’s choice.
Interment will be in the Tecumseh Cemetery, Tecumseh, Nebraska.
