Kenneth Ray Obituary

Kenneth L. Ray was born to Vernet and Pauline (Steele) Ray on November 16, 1937 in Twin Falls, Idaho.  He graduated from high school and received his associates degree.  Kenneth served his country during the Korean Conflict.  Ken was united in marriage to Ada Stevens on October 20, 1976 in North Hollywood, CA.  They lived in the Van Nuys, California area for a number of years until his job with the railroad transferred him to Omaha.  He retired from the Union Pacific Railroad as an informational technology senior developer.  After retiring, Ken and Ada moved to Tecumseh, Nebraska and Ken enjoyed working for a few years at Tecumseh Central Market.

Ken was a loving husband and father.  He put God and family first. He was not a perfect man, but he repented and gave his all to be the best man he could be.  When you think of him as a husband/father, remember his love for all of us, his smile, and the way he treated everyone with dignity and respect. Ken loved life and held onto it for as long as he could.  He was a protector, nurturer, teacher, gentleman, and just an all-around good man.

He passed away at Bryan East Medical Center in Lincoln, Nebraska, Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at the age of 81 years and 8 months.

Ken is survived by his wife, Ada Ray of Tecumseh, daughters, Lesia Woodruff of Lincoln, Linda Williams of Omaha and Heather Clements and husband Brad of Tecumseh, grandchildren, Brett and Aaron Woodruff and Ethan, Brady, Kaitlyn and AddyMae Clements, brothers, Raymond Ray of FL, Duane Ray of MO, Jimmy Ray of CA, and Richard Ray and wife Rhonda of CA, sister, Paula Bright of CA, nieces, nephews and friends.
